Due to recent growth in the electronic engineering team, we need to expand our mechanical design team and we require a Mechanical Design Engineer who is a skilled technical engineer with experience of 3D Cad, ideally SolidWorks.
Working alongside the electronic design engineers, the post holder will be expected to design the mechanical components and interfaces of technically demanding projects. This includes the detailing of circuit board outlines and key critical component placement according to internal and international specifications, as well as the generation of tightly coupled mechanical part designs for the assembly. Follow up work will include preparation of models for thermal analysis and generation of manufacturing drawings. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, able to switch tasks at short notice to support queries from marketing and feasibility studies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate or HND in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
- SolidWorks or any 3D CAD experience
- Knowledge of engineering materials and properties
- Appreciation of manufacturing processes
- Computer literate
- Good communication skills
