VMETRO supports both parallel and serial I/O interfaces including LVDS, camera link, FPDP and RS-422/485. These modules include both fixed feature and user programmable FPGA solutions. Fixed feature I/O modules such as the DPIO2 Digital Parallel I/O and SFM Quad Serial FPDP I/O allow users to get started quickly. The user programmable FPGA based products enable the user to control both the I/O interface and provide local data processing. This also provides the flexibility to support custom parallel digital interfaces – often with plug on adapter modules, thereby simplifying the process.
