VMETRO provides commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) board- and system-level embedded computer products for applications in Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, Communications, Medical, Enterprise Computing and Network Storage. Our products offer the highest levels of performance, innovation and reliability by applying state-of-the-art technology within the framework of well established industry standards. We offer one of the widest product offerings in the industry for deploying high-speed serial interconnects like PCI Express, Serial RapidIO, Aurora and Serial FPDP. The products are based on standard formats like VXS, VPX, VME, PMC, XMC, FMC, PCI/PCI-X, PCI Express, AdvancedMC and CompactPCI.

VMETRO’s major product lines include:

1) Embedded Computing solutions centered on high-performance Digital Signal Processing boards based on multiple FPGAs and PowerPCs. The processing solutions are complemented with an extensive range of Analog, Digital and Fiber-Optic I/O options. Available in both commercial and ruggedized versions, the embedded computing products are deployable in any environment from laboratory to harsh conditions on the ground, at sea or in the air.

2) Data Recorders & Storage offered as turn-key or semi-custom solutions optimized for real-time long-endurance recording, playback and analysis of high-speed sensor data to a massive amount of mass storage. Storage solutions with flexibility to meet the variety of application needs and range from commercial rotating drives to solid-state media. Systems include commercial and ruggedized variants.

3) Protocol & Bus Analyzers offer developers the ultimate tools to debug, validation and analysis of computer systems based on VME, PCI and PCI Express.

4) Network Storage products are solid-state non-volatile cards designed to increase performance and maintain reliability in server and storage appliances. These products utilize battery-backed RAM to replace disk accesses with memory accesses, for use in I/O intensive applications in enterprise products and high availability solutions.
