Embedded Computing - high-performance I/O and Digital Signal Processing boards and systems

An embedded computer system is a special-purpose computer system. It is designed to perform one or a few pre-defined tasks, usually with very specific requirements, and often includes task-specific hardware and mechanical parts not usually found in a general-purpose computer.

Application example:

    * The radar computer in a fighter jet
    * The switch that routes information in a mobile phone base station


Data Recording and Storage - high-performance long endurance Recording/Playback systems and Rugged Storage solutions.

The products are used for recording and storage of large amounts of data in real-time. VMETROs recording and storages are supplied as turnkey systems, or to be programmed by the customer.

Application example:

    * Used in development of products, such as a radar, to test the system
    * To store large amounts of data in a surveillance plane during a mission


Bus and Protocol Analyzers - advanced tools used to debug, optimize, validate and test computer based systems

The products are ready-to-use equipment for test and measurement. The products can be operated through Ethernet or USB from a PC with Windows software and the BusView graphical user-interface. VMETRO has provided thousands of system developers and designers with bus analyzers that have substantially reduced their project development time.

Application example:

    * To monitor the bandwidth usage in a system to better balance the workload
    * Used to detect and inspect infrequent and hard to find errors
