Christian Jebsen Christian Jebsen President and Chief Executive Officer Christian Jebsen was appointed CEO of VMETRO in November 2006. Prior to joining VMETRO, he was COO of Opera Software ASA (2000-2006) and CEO of Stavdal ASA (1998-2000), both listed companies based in Oslo, Norway. Jebsen’s professional experience also includes seven years (1991-1998) of corporate finance, investment banking experience with Nomura International in London and Enskilda Securities in Stockholm and Oslo. Jebsen holds a B.Sc degree in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School.
Paal Tonsberg Paal Tønsberg Chief Financial Officer Main responsibility: Accounting, finance and investor relations. Paal was appointed CFO for VMETRO in 2001. He holds a B Sc degree from the Norwegian School of Management - BI (1989) and a Higher Accountant degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (1992). Before taking on his position as CFO in VMETRO he worked for Jøtul (1996 – 2000) and E-Line Group (2000- 2001), both listed companies in Norway.
Thomas Nygaard Thomas Nygaard CTO Main responsibility: VMETRO’s product portfolio and roadmap within embedded computing and analyzers. Thomas has an M.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH),1982, University of Trondheim, Norway. Thomas is a co-founder of VMETRO. In 1982, he designed the first VMEbus Analyzer and from 1983-1985, manufactured and sold VMEbus Analyzers to the European defense industry as a "one-man-operation". In 1984, he joined FFI (Norwegian Defense Research Establishment), Kjeller, Norway, as a Scientist working with design and architecture of large vector processor for SAR applications. From 1984-1989, he joined Norsk Data, as a Scientist in the Hardware department, working with hardware design and architecture of mini-computers. He then worked in Dolphin Server Technology as a Project Manager / Chief Engineer responsible for hardware development of RISC UNIX servers from 1989-1991, while he worked part time with VMETRO as an R&D manager. He is now the CTO for VMETRO.
Jim Gerberman  Jim Gerberman President, VMETRO Inc. Main responsibility: VMETRO’s US sales & marketing and system engineering and US operation. Jim Gerberman has been President of VMETRO Inc. since May 2001. He graduated in 1975 from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering. He received his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 1983 at Saint Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and in 1992 a Ph.D. in Management Science from the McCombs Business School of the University of Texas. Jim previously worked for Thermo Electron Corporation and Texas Instruments.
  Mike Jadon Chief Technology Officer, US Embedded Systems
Main responsibility: Coordinates VMETRO’s embedded systems roadmap together with Thomas Nygaard and leads the company’s US engineering facility in Chatsworth California. Mike came to VMETRO through the acquisition of Micro Memory which he joined in 1995. At Micro Memory he held various roles ranging from Director of Product Development to Product Marketing & Sales. His responsibilities have included conceptualizing, managing the development efforts, and specifying the product definitions for the company's CoSine, Othello, and Umem offerings. Other accomplishments include being the lead inventor of the Umem "After-the-Fact" failover technology, a patented mechanism for supporting highly available clustered appliances. He received a Bachelor of Science from C.S.U. Northridge.
Mark Wilson  Mark Wilson Senior Vice-President Product Management, Head of UK operations
Main responsibility: VMETRO’s product management group and UK operation based in High Wycombe. He was educated at Nottingham University where he attained a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He joined Hawke Electronics, a semiconductor distributor, in 1983 where he was involved in various sales and technical support roles. In 1987 he became the 2nd employee at Transtech Parallel Systems initially concentrating on the sales of Inmos Transputer products progressing to be General Manager, until in 1998 he founded Transtech DSP with Philip Greenacre. He joined VMETRO in 2004 when Transtech DSP was acquired. 
Phil Greenacre Phil Greenacre Vice-President, European and RoW sales and marketing Main responsibility: Coordinating VMETRO’s European and RoW sales, marketing and system engineering effort. After his education and church work in Canada, Phil joined IBM/CPC in 1986 as an Area Sales Manager, involved in various sales roles. In 1991, he joined Transtech Parallel Systems as Area Sales Manager initially concentrating in the UK, progressing to be Sales Manager. In 1998, he founded Transtech DSP with Mark Wilson. He joined VMETRO in 2004 when Transtech DSP was acquired.
Terje Melsom Terje Melsom Vice-President, Engineering Main responsibility: Coordinating engineering and product development of VMETRO’s engineering facilities in US, UK and Norway. He graduated from the University of Oslo in 1988 with a Masters of Science degree in Electronics and Computer technology. Before joining VMETRO in 1992 he worked for Norsk Data and Dolphin Server Technology. He was initially responsible for the development of VMETRO's Futurebus+ analyzer products. Later he was responsible for the conception and hardware design for the Recorder & I/O product line. He took on the role as R&D manager in 1997, and was appointed Vice President Engineering in 2001.
