VPX & VPX-REDI Digital Signal Processors

VMETRO supports a number of solutions for high-end DSP applications. Primarily, these are based on scalable PowerPC and FPGA solutions with COTS boards formats that support high-speed serial communication. This section of the website, covers VMETRO's product offering in VPX & VPX-REDI form factors with expansion mezzanine sites utilizing FMC, XMC and PMC with Aurora, Serial RapidIO or PCI Express data links. Processors supported include PowerPC 7447A, PowerPC 7448 and MPC8641D CPUs. These processors may be closely coupled to Xilinx Virtex family FPGAs for communications and DSP acceleration – including Xilinx’s latest generation, the Virtex-5 family.
